WHO ARE WE?

TURKISH INFERTILITY FOUNDATION

 

Turkish Infertility Foundation was established in January 13th, 1993 in Ankara, Turkey.
The aim of this fondation is to perform widely extended studies in reproduction area. To do this;

*Organizes congrees, conferances, symposiums, seminers and courses in the reproduction field. Also, assists the other groups or foundations in the organization of congrees, conferances, symposiums, seminers and courses in the reproduction field with the same aim.

*Makes the domestic and foreign scientific and academic people attend to the congrees, to widen the current data.

*Produces and publishes the academic books and journals in the reproduction and public health area.

*Organizes scientific competitions in the reproduction field and gives awards to encourage the young doctors.

*Opens polyclinic, research center or hospital in reproduction area; or gets into cooperation with other centers whose aim is parallel to itself.

*Helps to the education and makes the people conscious of reproduction subject.

*Provides free family planning education and free contraceptive methods.

 
 

From the beginning, every year postgrduate educational courses are organized in Ankara. Until today, by attending to these courses, 4100 doctors had the oppurtunity of refreshing & making their data contemporary.

TIVAK has a journal, "Turkish Journal of Fertility", being published 4 times a year. This journal is being published regularly an on time. Also in the last 3 years, TIVAK publishes "Current Obstetric and Gynecology Journal" once a year. In this journal, topic papers in the obstetric and gynecology area are being published.

Scientific speakers who give speeches for the education in the congrees are given prizes, "Golden Rosette". These "Golden Scientific Academic People" are also known as natural member of the foundation.

Turkish Infertility Foundation, was integrated and became a member of IFFS, in the annual meeting of IFFS in San Fransisco, USA on 4-9 October 1998"
